When you’re sending out a newsletter, an email, or publishing a blog post or web page, it really does pay to proofread your work. At The Garden of Words, we have a proofreader on our team (Claire) who catches all of our weird mistakes, but you can also use a free tool like @grammarly.
Now, this is *sort of* an inside joke here at GOW because Katie may or may not be famous/infamous for sending out her newsletter without having someone else look at it. But, it’s kind of the beauty of her particular newsletter style — it’s very personable and Katie-ish, where the content is 100% legit but the tone is 100% informal.
For all of our official work, however, proofreading is a MUST. Even the best and most careful writers need their work checked; it’s too easy to miss an error in your own writing.
This #teamtip brought to you by one of our fave copywriters, Rachel!
