When you go out to eat, you place an order for your food and then. . . you get what you want! Ideally, that is.
It’s no different when working with a marketing company, or with your team members.
When you say, “Ok, I’m placing my order,” it sounds oddly formal, but it also signals to the other person that you are, in fact, making a formal request. You’re then going to set clear expectations and then wait for what you requested.
