They say closure is a beautiful thing but getting the kind of closure that you need from a marketing agency can be a major challenge if you don’t know what to ask for, which is why we made you this handy graphic!
But basically it boils down to two important terms: Launch and Closeout.
Launch information is the kind of information that you receive when a project that you have been working on “goes live” or becomes introduced to the world.
Closeout information is what you get when you have decided to part ways with your marketing agency, or anyone who has completed a project for you and won’t be staying with you.
If they sounds similar, that’s because THEY ARE! But in general, Launch info is given to you as a safeguard to ensure you have access to anything that was created in your name, while Closeout information should share access to accounts created in your name as well as instructions on how to transfer files, previous maintenance records, analytics documents, etc as well as a review of what ending your contract with that particular person/company means.
If your marketing agency *doesn’t* give you a launch and/or closeout package, ask for one!
It’s important that YOU know how your marketing was set up and how to access it.
