PROJECT DETAILS
Katie assumed the role of Editor in Chief of the APLD journal,The Designer, in Spring 2016, and has since produced more than 20 inspiring and high-quality issues. With her powerhouse team of designers, proofreaders, and associate editor, Katie creates each issue around a central theme or design concept.
Articles are submitted by design professionals, adhering to rigorous guidelines and written for categories including “Travel Inspiration,” “Design 101,” and “Case Studies,” and often include a Question & Answer column as well as an inspiring book excerpt.
Katie was initially tasked with growing the magazine to have broader appeal to the general public while maintaining high standards of professionalism benefiting career landscape designers, and it is one of her favorite projects to work on.
